2010 : Calcium carbonatum – Anita Saulīte





Anita Saulīte is a geologist. Since 1971 she has been working at the Latvian Museum of Natural History – recently retired. Regularly publishes in scientific journals and reviews, popular magazines and newspapers, as well as other nature-related publishing. Participate in radio and TV shows on nature themes. Participates in national and international scientific conferences. Particularly interested in amber and the last exposition she created “Amber in the twists of time” was organized as one of the Riga 2014 Cultural Capital of Europe events. A book “Amber” was released in 2014. She is professionally involved in the Latvian Geologist Union, Latvian Geography Society. A member of the Latvian Tour Guide Association and leads excursions, primarily in the Baltic countries.
